I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but I was raised in Los Angeles, California. After high school, I earned my BA in English Literature from U.C.L.A.

With the poetry of Chaucer and Shakespeare reverberating in my heart, I went to work for Nordstrom, where I became the Los Angeles region swimwear buyer. It was during those busy years buying swimwear – full bottoms, boy-cuts, tongas and thongs – that I married my high school sweetheart and began writing.

Now, still married to the same man, I'm a wife, mother and writer. I love to cook for my family, dance flamenco, and I love talking about sex, politics and literature with friends. I adore my husband, and live for my children's smiles. And, of course, I find a distinct joy in writing passionate stories full of yearning, lust and love.
